Week 9

Planning progress:
Research of film posters what they include
Research of film magazines and what they include.
Prices and consumer information.

Film poster:

When deciding on a poster photo we decided on this extremely affectionate one.
This is the finished product.

Week 8

This is the image we have chosen to use for our magazine cover. The reasons for this is, our two main chracters from the film trailer are obviously going to feature the front page. The colour range is vibrant and light. This will encourage positive connotations about the film towards the readers. The image emulates the love genre, which is part of the film.

Using the Adobe photoshop elements we have managed to produce a viable magaizne cover using elements of our deconstructed magazines... We realised that through toms hair there was an editing error. So we have re-edited and tried to improve..

This is the finalised magazine cover. We have manage to retouch the faults to give this proffesional outcome.

Week 7

So far the editing process has taken longer than we thought as the system keeps freezing and shutting down. If we wish to get a proffessional outcome which will attain optimum marks within the film trailer our aims are to amend every detail and make sure the trailer is perfect.

Week 6

During the half term week, on Wednesday 27th of October all of our group members including one other person (Tom Courcey) travelled to Hunstanton to record the footage for our trailer. All of us took part acting different parts of the trailer. We brought several props and costumes with us and two cameras to help us get the best possible variety of shots. The reason we wanted an abundance of shots and footage is so that we have enough material to pick and choose from so the editing process runs smoothly.

Film magazine cover:

This is a recent magazine cover (Total film) that emphasises the release of the film Alice and Wonderland (one of the films deconstructed). This cover gives us an insight as to what main film audiences are attracted to on a film magazine cover. Factors thats effect the attraction of audience to this genre of magazine include title and text font and colour, main characters from a new release film and 3 to 4 main informative captions. We hope from each magazine cover that is deconstructed help give us inspiration and selling/attraction points for our magazine cover design.

Film Poster:

This is a film poster of my deconstructed film Shutter island.
